Who is providing this service?

The Tree House Center for Youth, Inc. is! We are a nonprofit 501 (C) 3 organization duly registered with the IRS.

This program is targeted at teens across North America.  Physically, our organization is located in the downtown area of Grand Junction, Colorado. The Tree House was founded in 1999 as a response to the lack of proactive services available to high-risk youth. With the vision of providing a safe and enriching environment, one that is programmatic, empowering, and that is drug, alcohol and violence free, the Tree House has served as a refuge from the various troubling circumstances that are unique to today’s youth, especially during the identified at-risk out-of-school-time (OST) hours. Through its many branches, the warm, home-like environment of the Tree House has unconditionally welcomed any individual between the ages of 11-22 for 10 years. We have offered prevention and intervention services through tailored educational, support, advocacy, and community-service referrals. Through facilitated activities the Tree House has long offered programs which bolster self-esteem and positive life choices on a continuum from middle school through high school and into college.  We nurture the social, emotional, and educational growth of the area’s youth in order to promote healthy life choices and a positive, productive future as highly-functioning adults.

Why are we providing this service?

Because this is where teens are today, and it is our heart's desire to provide them with positive messages which benefit their lives and help them to make healthy choices. You can imagine the negative comments that are passed from teen cell phones every day, and it is our mission to make a difference.  This program provides an "apple a day" in your teen's inbox.  In today's world, you want them to have a healthy lunch, and you also want them to have a healthy cell phone inbox.  

We have been providing youth prevention services for over 10 years and are now expanding our capacity to provide positive, healthy services for today's youth across the nation. They are plugged in so we are plugging in too!
